The Zoomies 50K is a unique race experience. A 1.55 mile loop that you complete 20 times (2 for 5K, 4 for 10K, 6 for 15K), you will find it to be flat and fast. Running around Waubonsee Lake Park, this race is scenic but by far the biggest appeal of the race will have to be the "Pittie Stop". This race will feature rescue animals that you will be able to see, pet and love. The area of the course where you will find fuel and hydration will also feature pets! These pets will be available for adoption. You will be able to see them before the race, as you complete each loop and at the end of the race. Volunteer staff from the Humane Society of Aurora will be on hand to assist with any questions you have regarding the animals.

COURSE MAPS AND PARKING
The path around Waubonsie Lake is a 1.55 mile loop that is flat and a good course for a fast race for those looking to set new PR's at the 5,10,15 or 50K distances.
The course is also very scenic and also wonderful for those who want to just come out and get in a nice run and pet some dogs (and maybe take one home).

Parking in the lot closest to the Start/Finish is limited. There is ample parking in the lot across Montgomery at Horscheit Park which is just a short walk from the course.

Pittie Stop is where runners can find fuel, hydration and lots of wonderful pets available for adoption. You will pass this aid station every loop and can stop in as often as you want.
PARTNERS AND SPONSORS
FAQ
What if I can't come to the race?
Worth Your Mile Running is committed to providing an excellent running experience and although we do not provide refunds for races under any circumstances, we understand life does have a way of changing your plans and do allow participants to transfer their registration to another runner. Instructions on how to complete this process can be found in the registration pages.
Transfers will be allowed for races of the same distance or a shorter distance. Transfers to longer distances can be done with the new participant paying the difference between the races costs based on the cost at the time of the transfer and not at the time of the original purchase. There will be a $2.00 transfer fee for all transfers.
What if the weather is bad?
This is April in the Midwest. There is a possibility it will be warm and sunny or it could snow. The race will be held regardless of weather with the exception of lightning, which will delay the start and will be a race day decision.
Can someone pickup my packet for me?
Yes. Please make sure that you provide your friend with the registration confirmation for them to pick up your packet for you.
Is the race chip timed?
Yes. Timing will be provided by Race Time and a link to results will be provided after the race.
Is there race day packet pickup?
Yes. You can pick up your packet and bib the morning of the race starting at 6:45am
Are Headphones, Strollers or Pets allowed?
As it is a public course, we do not encourage or suggest headphone be worn. Strollers are welcome and we highly suggest that walkers and strollers line up at the back. Pets must follow the rules set forth by the Aurora Park District and are welcome as long as they are leashed.
What will be provided at the "Pittie Stop"?
Water, plenty of sweet and salty snack foods and lot of animals to pet. Additional hydration beyond water has not yet been planned.
What are the rules for Tents and Dropbags
There will be a shaded gazebo with tables where you can place your drop bag or any other equipment you need to support your race. It is not recommended you setup your own tent area but you will not be prevented from doing so.
Are pacers allowed?
The course is an open and short 1.55 mile loop in a public park so we encourage our participants to be courteous and not bring pacers to this race.
